Finalists in 2025 SA Training Awards
We are thrilled to share that CF&KC-SA are finalists in the 2025 SA Training Awards Industry Collaboration category in partnership with Bradford Institute of Advanced Education, Martinthi, AFSS, KWY & DCP Kinship.
This nomination acknowledges the First Nations Foster and Kinship Carer Career Development Program, introduced in 2024 to build and strengthen South Australia’s First Nations workforce. We are proud of the inaugural graduates of the Certificate IV in Community Services (September 2024), who received a formal qualification, acknowledging their life experiences and skills developed. This was the first student cohort dedicated to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander carers and we recently saw 8 First Nations carers graduate from a Diploma of Community Services (August 2025).
On offer for 2025 are 30 fee free vocational education places for First Nations foster and kinship carers in SA, to study the Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention course.
