Carer Support Groups

Grief & Transition Support Group

A safe place for Carers to express their emotions where they feel their grief is understood and validated.

Many Carers are dealing with grief associated with a placement ending, sometimes unexpected, sometimes planned. This grief is unique and often unseen, unrecognized and misunderstood by communities and society.

Connecting Foster and Kinship Carers with the support of Carer Volunteers work to together to create a safe and supportive space for Carers to connect with one another in a helpful manner.

"I have found CF&KC-SA's grief and transition group so supportive and really transformative. Finding others who fully appreciated what I was going through has made such a difference"
