We invite Foster & Kinship Carers, to join together for our Recharge event

Day Session: 9.30am (for 9.45am start) – 2.30pm
Evening Session: 5.30pm (for 5.45pm start) – 10.00pm
Hear from key note speaker Michael Place, an international and inspirational speaker who believes every child deserves the chance at becoming victors, instead of victims. Michael has lived experience in care, and a MA in psychology where he studied trauma and resilience. At the age of 20 was recognised for his significant and positive difference in advocating for the LGBTIQ community.
Psychologist Dr Sara McLean will present key take-home messages from her book “Parenting Traumatized Children with Developmental Differences”. Sara has extensive experience working in the area of child and adolescent mental health and is committed to supporting children in foster and residential care who have challenging behaviours. Sara is a Member of the CF&KC-SA Board, Adjunct Research Fellow at the Australia Centre for Child Protection, co-author of the Fostering Difference website and currently working with Emerging Minds Australia.
