Carer Advocate recruitment

Applications are invited to join our Carer Advocacy Service team in a part-time Carer Advocate role.

The Carer Advocate will promote the rights of Foster & Kinship Carers in SA by providing individualised advocacy services, working collaboratively with the Department for Child Protection (DCP), Foster Care agencies, Kinship Care teams in addition to delivering programs and activities to facilitate the voice of Foster & Kinship Carers and improve the out-of-home care system.

  • The role will be based at Prospect, with intra- and inter-state travel required.
  • The role is a part time, fixed term contract (0.8 FTE) until 30 June 2024, with possibility for extension.
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are encouraged to apply.
