3 Peaks Visit – Connecting with the Regions
20th – 22nd January 2025

 

Connecting Foster & Kinship Carers SA (CF&KC-SA), CREATE Foundation and Child and Family Focus SA (CAFFSA) are visiting the Port Augusta/Kadina region in January 2025. The three peaks are super excited to be visiting soon and are eager to connect and hear from children, young people, carers and workers in the area.

A range of events have been planned across the three dates:

 

Monday 20th January 2025 – Pt Augusta

  • CREATE Foundation will be running a Youth Advisory Group in Port Augusta from 3:30pm-5:30pm for young people aged 10-25 years at the Salvation Army – the young people can be dropped off and will have the opportunity to discuss what it is like living in regional South Australia and furthermore around any barriers to accessing services and any gaps identified. The young people will receive a $25 gift card to thank them for their time, plus snacks and drinks.

  • CF&KC-SA will be running a Grief and Transition Support Group session in Pt Augusta from 2.30-4.00pm at the same venue (Salvation Army). Carers may experience grief for a number of reasons. The sharing circle is an opportunity to connect and support one another through shared experiences, thoughts and emotions, where Carer grief is understood and validated. We warmly invite Foster & Kinship Carers to join us at this session.

  • On Monday afternoon from 4.00-5.30pm (same venue) CF&KC-SA will be hosting a Carer Connection Event – an opportunity for Carers to join us for a cuppa and a chat to connect with others, and to meet our Advocates Sharee and Isabella. We invite Foster & Kinship Carers to come along and hear about the services and supports we can provide to Carer families.

Tuesday 21st January 2025 – Kadina

  • CF&KC-SA will also run a Grief and Transition Support Group session in Kadina from 4.00-5.30pm at Uniting Country SA. This session is open to all Carers (from all agencies) and thanks to the UCSA team, we can offer a crèche service for this session. We warmly invite Foster & Kinship Carers to join us.

Wednesday 22nd January 2025 – Kadina
Foster and Kinship Carers families are invited to join in a fun afternoon of activities with Nature Play SA at a Carer Connection & Sibling Connection event in Kadina:
1.00-4.00pm at the Kadina Football & Netball Club
