Mt Gambier visit – October school holidays

We are excited to be visiting the Mt Gambier region with CREATE Foundation from the 7th to the 9th of October (second week of the school holidays) to connect with carers, children & young people and workers/carers in the out-of-home-care sector.

Below is a summary outlining all events for both organisations – please refer to flyers for more information and QR codes to register:

Connecting Foster & Kinship Carers SA

• Tuesday 7th October, 11am-1pm, Statement of Commitment training with DCP Mt Gambier team – please register directly through the DCP Limestone Coast office
• Tuesday 7th October, 3.00pm-5.00pm, Statement of Commitment training sessions for ac.care, AFSS and LWB
• Wednesday 8th October, 9.30am-11.00am, Carer Connection Coffee Catch-up at The Pantry. Carers are invited to join our advocates for a coffee catch up and hear about our role as the peak and the support and advocacy we provide.

CREATE Foundation

• Tuesday 7th of October, 2.30-5.00pm, Youth Advisory Group (ages 10-25) at the Mount Gambier Library. Young people will receive a $25.00 gift voucher, plus snacks.
• Wednesday 8th of October, 9.30am-11.30am, Worker Training for DCP and non-government OOHC sector at Mount Gambier DCP. This training will be co-facilitated with a young consultant.
• Thursday 9th of October, 10am-12pm, Level One Speak Up Training (ages 14-25) at Valley Lakes park/reservation. An empowerment training program for young people to become young consultants once they complete level 2 and 3 (online)
