Announcement – new CEO Fiona Endacott

It gives me great pleasure to advise that Fiona Endacott has been appointed to the position of CEO at Connecting Foster and Kinship Carers SA. Fiona has been our Senior Advocate since we opened our doors as a fully funded Carer Advocacy Service on 1 July last year. She competed for the job against a range of impressive external candidates.

Fiona has a Bachelor of Social Work, a Double Advanced Diploma in Management and Human Resources, a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration and is currently  completing her MBA. Her work history is also impressive – having come to CF&KC after a long stint working in mental health, most recently as Manager: Operations for Skylight Mental Health.

Fiona has already made her mark on our organisation – having worked on our winning tender, achieved our quality accreditation and (since July) established and managed our very committed advocacy team. She is a  mother of two and deeply committed to the wellbeing of children and Carers. Fiona takes on the new role from Monday 25th March 2019.

I have been holding the CEO position temporarily while we undertook our recruiting. It has been a great pleasure filling in as CEO and has given me a much clearer insight into the work of the organisation (and into how hard our people work!) I have a great deal of confidence for our future.

I am also delighted to announce two additional appointments to the CF&KC-SA team: Dion Zisos and Tandanya Allain.

Dion is our new Carer Advocate specialising in Kinship. Dion also holds a Bachelor of Social Work. He has experience as an educational trainer and has previously worked as a Youth Worker working with children within residential, emergency and supported living arrangements. Dion will commence on Monday 1st April 2019.

Tandanya is our newest Carer Advocate and will support Foster & Kinship Carers within her role. Tandanya holds a Masters of Social Work and has experience working within schools and kinship care teams. Tandanya will also commence on Monday 1st April 2019.
